Arrive to a clean cottage
Soft wash the siding to strip winter’s mildew and grime, clear the gutters of what fell after close-up, and clean the glass so the view is the first thing you see. All doable before you arrive — you open the door to done.

Close it dry
Gutters cleared after leaf- and needle-fall are the single highest-value job of the year: they’re what stands between spring meltwater and your fascia, foundation, and crawl space. Roof moss treatment belongs here too.

Down at the water
The dock and the boathouse are wood too
A dock spends its life soaking wet and shaded — which makes it the greenest, slipperiest surface on the property by August, and the one your kids are running barefoot down. Boathouse siding collects the same lake algae as the cottage, plus a waterline of it nobody sees from shore. Both come off with the same wood-safe wash we use on decks, and both are easiest to do on a visit we're already making.

The questions every cottage owner asks
Do I need to be at the cottage when you work?
No. Everything we do is exterior, so most of our seasonal clients book online, we service the property while they’re at home in the city, and we send photos when the job’s done. Many have their place washed and windows cleaned the week before opening, so it’s ready when they arrive.
My cottage is on a well / lake water. Does that matter for window cleaning?
Not at all — most glass is hand-squeegeed the traditional way, and when we use our pure-water pole system for upper storeys, the de-ionised water comes in a tank on the truck, so hard well water never touches your glass. If your sprinkler runs on well or lake water, we can also remove the mineral spotting it leaves behind.
How do you quote a cottage I can’t easily measure?
Our instant quote tool prices by home size band, and for anything unusual a few photos are enough for a firm number. You never need to meet us there for a quote.
When should gutters be cleaned in cottage country?
After the needles and leaves are down — late fall — so meltwater has somewhere to go in spring. Under heavy pine, a second clear-out at opening is worth it. Clogged gutters are a top cause of ice damming and foundation moisture in seasonal properties.
