“Blair and Kyle spent 5 days at our home in Penetanguishene, removing all the mildew from our post and beams, carefully washed our entire exterior, soffit and windows leaving nothing untouched and we recommend them completely 😀”

The question we get asked most
Is it safe for my plants — and my house?
Absolutely — and the reason is the method, not a promise. A soft wash does the work with detergent at low pressure rather than force, so nothing is being blasted at your gardens, and the solution we use is either biodegradable or diluted to a level that is safe for plants, pets, and sewers.
The care around it is the part worth knowing. We water plants and gardens thoroughly before we start and keep rinsing as we go, so anything that does reach them is heavily diluted, and where a bed sits right under the work we will cover it instead. It is the same reason we work at low pressure in the first place: the goal is a clean house you did not have to trade anything for.
The same thinking goes for the building. Door locks, outdoor outlets, light fittings — the places water should never get into get covered before the water starts, which is a small thing that takes a minute and saves a callback.
“He was diligent to cover my front door lock and outdoor plugs to prevent water from getting in.”
A separate service — not part of a wash
Faded, chalky siding? That’s oxidation — a wash won’t fix it, but we can.
A house wash removes what grows and lands on your siding — algae, dirt, green streaks. It can’t touch oxidation, because oxidation isn’t sitting on the surface: it is the surface, broken down by years of UV. If your vinyl looks hazed and dull — worst on the sunny south and west walls, most obvious on rich blues, reds, and greens — run a dry finger across it. Powdery residue means oxidation, and no ordinary wash will lift it.
Restoring it is its own hands-on job: an oxidation-dissolving detergent at low pressure, left to dwell, then agitated by hand with soft brushes, panel by panel, and rinsed. The original colour comes back evenly — no painting, no replacement siding. The same process brings faded paint and chalky metal roofs back too.
So it’s a separate add-on — not part of a wash, and not in the instant-quote tool. It’s priced on its own, typically around the cost of a full house wash or more, and we quote it from photos: text a few to (705) 242-4888 for a firm number.
“My vinyl siding is back to it’s original blue and white trim is sparkling”

Common questions about house washing
What exactly does a house wash include?
A house wash cleans the entire outside of your home, not just the walls. Using a gentle soft-wash treatment, we remove the organic growth a house collects — algae, mildew, moss, green streaking, dirt, cobwebs, and bug and spider mess — from the whole exterior envelope: the outside of the eaves, the soffits and fascia, your siding, stucco, or brick, the window frames and trim, the doors, and the garage. It brings the whole home back to an even, clean finish, top to bottom.
How much does house washing cost?
It’s flat-rate by home size, priced up front so there are no surprises — the instant quote tool gives you a real number for your home in one minute. Oxidation removal on badly faded siding is quoted separately from a couple of photos.
Is soft washing safe for my siding, plants, and pets?
Yes — that’s the whole point of it. We pre-soak your gardens and rinse throughout, and the low-pressure method never forces water behind siding or strips paint. It’s safe for vinyl, brick, stucco, aluminum, and painted wood, including heritage exteriors.
What’s the difference between soft washing and pressure washing my house?
Pressure alone just blasts the surface dirt off and leaves the roots behind, so the green comes back fast — and on siding it can drive water where it shouldn’t go. Soft washing uses purpose-made detergents to kill and lift algae and mildew at the root, so it looks better and stays clean for months longer.
How long does a house wash last, and how often should I do it?
Most Simcoe County homes look their best on an every-year-or-two cycle. Shaded, treed, and waterfront homes grow algae and green streaking faster and do best annually — exactly the cycle the NordCare Plan automates, with 10% off for members.
My siding looks chalky and faded — can that be fixed?
Yes — but not by a house wash, and that distinction matters. A chalky, dull film — worst on sunny south and west walls and rich colours — is oxidation: UV breaking down the vinyl’s surface itself, so there’s nothing sitting on top for a wash to rinse away. Removing it is a separate, hands-on add-on — an oxidation-dissolving treatment worked in by hand — that brings the original colour back with no painting or new siding, and the same process restores faded paint and chalky metal roofs. Because it’s specialty work it’s priced on its own, usually around the cost of a full house wash or more, and quoted from a few photos texted to (705) 242-4888.
Do you wash soffits, eaves, and the garage too?
Yes — a house wash covers the whole exterior envelope: siding, soffits, eaves, and trim, brought back to an even, clean finish. Detached garages and sheds can be added to the same visit.
I only asked for my eavestroughs — why does the whole house need washing?
It comes down to where the water goes. To clean the outside of your eaves we apply our soft-wash solution up along the roofline, and it naturally runs down over the siding, stucco, and windows — so the exterior can’t be cleaned in one isolated strip. That’s why the outside work is a House Wash: the whole exterior envelope, ground to gutter, cleaned evenly. Clearing the inside of the eavestroughs and downspouts is a separate job — our gutter cleaning — which you can book on its own any time.
Will a house wash get the wasp nests, bug mess, and dirt off my stucco and window sills?
Yes. A soft wash lifts the organic grime a home collects — algae and green streaking, spider and bug dirt, and the hardened mud that mud-dauber wasps leave on stucco and siding, along with the bug debris that gathers on window sills and under the eaves. It comes off as part of the wash, brought back to an even, clean finish.
After a house wash, will I still need my windows cleaned?
The wash rinses your exterior glass along with everything else, but depending on the mineral content of your water it can leave some light spotting or streaking on the windows. If you’d like them finished crystal-clear, exterior window cleaning is an easy add-on to the same visit — just ask when you book. We’d rather tell you that honestly than pretend a house wash leaves glass spotless.
Where does all the dirt go — do you clean up afterward?
We do. The grime the wash brings down gets rinsed off your walkways, patio, and pavers before we leave, so you’re not left with a mess where the runoff landed. (A full restorative clean of a paver patio or concrete driveway is its own pressure-washing service — but tidying up after the house wash is simply part of the job.)
