Yes. We clear your eavestroughs out and confirm every downspout is draining, so water goes away from your roof and foundation instead of pooling against it. Most homes run $200–$475. Once a year is right for most properties, ideally in the fall once the leaves are down — we run gutter cleaning later in the season than our other water services, through to about mid-November.

We clear the leaves and debris out of your eavestroughs, then check every downspout to confirm it actually runs through and out — not just the parts you can see. Some we can prove are clear with a drain tool; any we can’t, we run a hose down and watch the bottom. Blockages get cleared so the whole system drains the way it should, and the debris is bagged before we leave.

It gets bagged — always. Leaves and needles are organic, so by default we tuck them somewhere discreet on your property at no charge: the bush line, behind the shed, the compost pile. We take it off site for a flat $20 — same price whatever the size of your home or how much came out — if you’d simply rather it were gone, if there’s nowhere sensible on the lot to put it, or if what came out is shingle grit and granules rather than leaves, since that isn’t something to leave in a garden. What we don’t do is blow it onto your lawn and drive away. Getting a trough properly clear usually takes some combination of hand tools, a gutter vacuum, and a leaf blower — which ones depends on the roof and on what’s sitting up there. Now and then we’ll rinse a run out with water too, most often when it’s packed with the old asphalt granules that wash off an aging roof, since that grit is heavy and doesn’t sweep or lift the way leaves do. However it comes out, it leaves in a bag, and we tidy the beds and walkways before we go.

Once a year is the baseline, ideally in fall after the leaves are down. Homes with mature trees or lots of pine overhead often need spring and fall to stay clear and keep water away from the roof edge and foundation.

We’re a cleaning service, so we don’t sell or install gutter-guard systems. If your gutters already have guards, we clean on top of and around them and check the downspouts — just let us know they’re there when you book so we plan for it.

Usually yes — it’s the biggest misunderstanding we run into. Guards keep the big leaves out, but fine debris, pollen, and shingle grit still build up on top, and once that mat forms the water runs over the front edge instead of into the gutter — which streaks the gutter face with algae and, over time, oxidation. And if the guards are damaged, aged, or slightly misaligned, debris works its way underneath and turns into a bed of soil under the covers, completely hidden from view — we regularly find plants growing under “maintenance-free” guards. We clean the top surface and face as standard, the same as gutters without guards; if yours need clearing underneath, we can remove and reinstall the guards to reach it for an added fee. Just tell us you have guards when you book and we’ll plan for it.

No — it’s exterior work, so most clients aren’t home. We confirm before we head out and let you know when it’s done, often with photos of what came out. And you never touch a ladder.

Gutter cleaning is the inside of the system — we clear the leaves and debris out of the eavestroughs, bag them, and check the downspouts so water runs through. A house wash is the outside — siding, soffits, and the visible face of the eaves, soft-washed clean of algae and grime. Because washing the outside of the eaves sends solution running down over everything, the exterior is always done as a whole house wash; clearing the inside is this service, and the two are often booked together.
