Gutter Cleaning · Victoria Harbour, ON
Gutter Cleaning in Victoria Harbour.
Eavestrough clearing for Victoria Harbour, Port McNicoll, Waubaushene, and the rest of the Tay Shore. This one’s home turf — Nord is based right here in the Harbour. Cleared, flushed where needed, and flow-checked.
Before & after
A real gutter cleaning job, before and after.
Not renders, not stock photos — actual Simcoe County homes, shot before we started and after the water dried.
What the Tay Shore does to gutters
The trouble with Harbour gutters is that they look easy. A lot of the village is single-storey and storey-and-a-half — older homes around Albert Street and Park Street where the eave sits maybe twelve feet up and the whole run is visible from the driveway. So people have a go at it themselves off a step ladder, usually in October, usually alone, usually reaching that one extra foot rather than climbing down and moving the ladder.
Overreaching is exactly what turns a stable ladder into an unstable one, and the height being modest doesn’t help as much as people assume — a twelve-foot fall onto a driveway breaks wrists and hips perfectly well. It’s a fair weekend job on a single-storey home and we’re not going to pretend otherwise; our gutter guide has the honest version, right down to the 4-to-1 ladder angle and why a stand-off stabilizer is the best small purchase you can make for it. But if you’d rather it were simply handled, we’re five minutes away.
The village’s older roofs make the job worse than it looks, too. Low-pitch roofs don’t help you — on a steep roof, rain pushes debris along the trough toward the outlet. On a shallow one it just sits where it landed, spread down the whole run, so there’s no single clog to clear and every foot of it has to be gone through by hand.
Then there’s the water in the air. Living on Hogg Bay means damp most of the year, and the homes backing onto the Tay Shore Trail sit under a mature canopy that drops on them from spring through November. Wet debris doesn’t dry out and blow free the way it does on an open lot — it stays put, gets heavy, and holds moisture right against the fascia board it’s sitting in.
Out along the shore road and toward Port McNicoll and Waubaushene, add cedar and pine — a year-round shed rather than one October drop, and fine enough to slip through most screens. The seasonal places out there can go a full winter with nobody to notice.
Harbour tip: on a low house you get a warning sign you don’t need a ladder to check. Stand back and sight along the trough: if a section sags, or the spikes are backing out of the fascia, that’s the weight of trapped debris. A full gutter is heavy, and a wet one is heavier — sag means it’s been full for a while.
How we clean gutters in Victoria Harbour
By hand, into buckets, with every downspout checked end to end and confirmed running clear. We flag anything worth knowing about — standing water that means a slope problem, seams that weep, hangers pulling loose — with photos, and no pressure to fix it through us.
On guarded gutters we clean the top surface and face as standard. A good guard does real work under hardwood and can cut a twice-a-year job to about once. It won’t make the gutter maintenance-free — pollen, shingle grit, and needles still get through — and it means the eventual clearing takes longer, because it has to come off first. If yours need clearing underneath, we can lift and reinstall them for an added fee, and we’ll tell you honestly whether they do.
Being based here has one practical benefit: if something isn’t right, we’re not scheduling a trip back for next week. We’re up the road.

“Simcoe ProClean came to my house yesterday to take care of the eavestroughs, and they did an excellent job. I’ve hired them before—last year they cleaned both my eavestroughs and my aluminum siding, and the results were fantastic each time.”
“Blair was very professional and personable, He cleaned our soffits, gutters and fascia and we are extremely satisfied with the job. They went from being a dirty black colour back to white. He also did the exterior windows.”
